THE OFFICIAL HOME OF
THE CHANDLER WOLVES
Chandler High began to develop their Athletic Program as early as the 1920’s. Even though baseball has been around since the 1840’s Chandler’s first team was a traveling baseball team dating back to 1918 - 1919.
Here in Chandler the Historical Society has built a Museum which is home to the Chandler Sports Hall of Fame exhibit. The Chandler Sports Hall of Fame honors Chandler residents who have excelled in athletics at the high school, collegiate, amateur or professional levels.
Background
Within the State of Arizona all interscholastic programs are governed by the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA). AIA member schools make the rules that govern their interscholastic competition.
Chandler High was first classified as a 3A Baseball Team back in the 1950's. Between 1960 and 1970 Chandler moved into the Class 5A division. Today Chandler High is currently a member of the Fiesta Region, Conference 5A-I.
Region schools include Brophy, Desert Vista, Red Mountain, Xavier, Mesa, and Hamilton High School. The Fiesta Region sponsors regular season conference competition and post-season championships in all various sports. Note: Participation in State Championships is determined by performance (team and/or individual) in region championships.
